Why I Joined The Family IQ Opportunity

I wanted to take a minute to share with you an exciting opportunity I recently came across known as FamilyIQ. At first I really wasn't interested in another business opportunity, as I already have a few that I was involved with. But after putting the company through my 4 major criteria of:

  • Compensation Plan

  • Marketing System

  • Leadership

  • Company/products

  • I GOT VERY IMPRESSED!

This company had a world class compensation plan that pays you up-front commissions of $1000 (earn money quickly) with long term residual income potential and many lucrative bonuses. I also saw a powerful marketing system that would do most of the selling for you as only about 3% of the general public can sell or like to sell. When I saw that Rod Stinson an internet marketing guru who has over 20 years of experience was involved, that got me even more excited (Wow a leader who knows how to market via the internet). Than I had to look at the company. FamilyIQ has a track record of over 10 years in business and is endorsed by Dr. Phil. When I saw their products were promoting family values and strengthening relationships, I was in. Having my son almost 50% of the time, I saw a product/service that could really help me become a better parent. I saw products for people in grief, trauma, marriage troubles, divorce, etc....

I believe that family IQ is a great company with rock solid leadership and a revolutionary pay plan that cannot be ignored. One of the biggest problems I see in network marketing is the ability for people to start a business and pay their bills immediately. Truthfully, most network marketing companies take a long time to build and don't usually offer enough up-front income for people to quit their JOB. With Family Iq people can join and create a 5 figure monthly income in their first 30, 60, or even 90 days in business due to the upfront commissions. I really don't know of too many network marketing companies where an individual can do that, unless they have a huge established network they can just move from one company to the next.

How to avoid distractions and make money in Network Marketing

I like most of you am so sick and tired off all the phone calls, emails and manipulations that people use to try and bring me into their business. It's honestly gotten so bad for me, that many times I cannot even answer my phone unless I want to take up 20 minutes with someone trying to sell me their gas additive, or weight loss product. I know why people are coming after me, and I don't mind it, as long as people have MLM Etiquette. In golf there is etiquette, in bowling there is etiquette, and just about every major sport there is etiquette. So what is MLM Etiquette? It's simple, when someone says they are happy where they are, "You don't pursue that person any longer", at least not for a few months. Back off and quit being a JERK for Network Marketing.

So how do you handle all the online offers, marketing campaigns, phone calls etc??? First, you have to treat your life like a business. You should only be spending a small percentage of your time looking at emails, websites, etc... You must remain laser focused if you are to have any success in anything. Let whoever calls you know that "YOU ARE NOT RECRUITABLE". IF they continue to make their offer to you than tell them again that you are going to end the phone call. I actually have people in my up-line and downline trying to bring me into other things and that makes it more difficult since we are already making money together. But here is the deal. You have limited time per day to do your thing. So be careful what you decide to do. If you're like me and like multiple income streams only run with company/products you believe in.

Treat each company or product like an endorsement and ask yourself this question. Can I seriously get behind this product and not damage my reputation? I mean can I really market Xango and Mona Vie at the same time? Can I really market $200 a month in vitamins on an autoship if there were no business opportunity tied to it? Does this product make sense for this soft economy? Seriously, start treating network marketing like a Marketing Pro and you will see things a lot differently.

I could be the greatest salesman in the world, but I am not going to get very far selling AM/FM radios in today's marketplace. So shut off the distractions and become a saavy marketer. Networking is easy, but marketing is a bit more challenging.

    Your Banker Doesn't Care...

With all the hype on the net these days about get in now and get 500 people in your downline overnight and so on. It sounds great in the beginning, but at the end of the day what is your check? Because, my banker doesn't care how many people I have in my downline, all he/she cares about is my check, and you should too. I think the problem with MLM is we spend so much time getting excited about our downlines and products, that we forget that the only reason we got into MLM was to make MONEY. If you're not making money in your MLM, you have a serious problem and that is the truth.

So my challenge to each of you, is quit playing MLM and start treating it like a business. If you are happy with your $100 a month check good for you. But most of us didn't get into MLM to make a $100 a month. As Randy Gage says, "If I wanted a $1000 a month, I would go get a paper route." Start looking at your bottom line. If your not making the money you desire in MLM than either get to work in your current company, or look for a company where you can start earning a check. Because your banker could care less if your a Diamond, 1 Star, Emerald, or whatever. All your banker cares about is can you cash your check.

    To your success!

    A Labor of Love

I was thinking the other day of why I am pursuing MLM and it is real simple. MLM allows me to take off for a week and go do a record in Salt Lake City with some friends (yes, I do sing and play guitar). MLM allows me to take my kid to Basketball practice last night at 5PM and CubScouts tonight at 4PM. Honestly, if it weren't for the freedom that MLM provides, I would find another profession quickly.

But how many people do you know in MLM who really have time freedom? Not many, even top income earners are working more hours than most people with full-time jobs just to keep up with the high turnover in their downlines. This is why I personally don't subscribe to just 1 MLM, but multiple streams of income. God love those who put all their livelihood into 1 MLM, but true happiness comes from freedom.

So my question to you is, are you truly free to do the things you love? Personally, I would rather live like Ghandi and be able to pursue a labor of love vs. living like Donald Trump and being stuck in a job and life that is not fulfilling.

Why you have no chance in Network Marketing?

I'm so tired of sitting back and watching all the guru's tell you how easy it is to make money in MLM, when most either don't know how, or don't want to tell you the most important ingredient of all. Most teach a system that will only work for 5% of the population - salespeople. Unless you only want to market only to salespeople, you have to plug into a duplicatable system that everyone can benefit from. Without a system, you have very little chance of recruiting people and getting duplication unless you only recruit from the 5% Club. Keep in mind that I was in sales for many years and salespeople don't make the best networkers, due to one thing. They are just too good on their own 2 feet and don't need a downline to make a nice living. That's right, most are too good on their own and don't need a downline to make a nice living. So they are much happier just working alone, rather than training, and waiting weeks, months, or even years to make a nice profit.

So, you had better have a smokin system in place that everyone can plug into and master quickly to create duplication. If it takes a full weekend or 2 weeks to train someone to recruit with your system - good luck! I had to let you know this, because I am tired of all the lies and deceit in front of the IRON MLM CURTAIN. So, if your not successful where you are, unless you really really really love the products, the chances are you are not on a team that has developed an easy duplicatable system for you and everyone else to follow.

One of the most successful systems I have ever witnessed in our industry was from XANGO, called the "Magic Wand". Networkers simply passed out a CD that would tell the story for them called "The Magic Wand". And it helped Sherman Unkefer the creator of it, create a $300K per month income. It really should be that simple, or you will have to become a salesperson, and develop skills that could take months or years to develop.

    The Lifestyle Biz!

I had a break thru this weekend in terms of marketing my biz. Did you know that the majority of all the people who have ever joined me in network marketing live in warm climates??? Interesting, but I think I know why. And you may be saying to yourself, what is he talking about, but I really think I have the answer.

Network Marketing is a lifestyle biz. People are looking for a business that will give them more time & freedom and the people in warmer climates, generally speaking unless they were brought their by their parents or job, made a sacrifice to get to that climate. If they are willing to give up something to get to that warm climate, they are more than likely the type of person who is willing to make a sacrifice to make it in network marketing. This may piss a few of you off, but I would love to get your thoughts as 90% of all the people I have ever sponsored mostly come from 4 states in The US.

    Advertising your MLM Business?

I got some interesting emails and phone call regarding my last post on Facebook Advertising. Let me just say this, there is nothing wrong with advertising your home based business, but be prepared to spend hundreds and perhaps thousands doing it. If you have the money to burn - go for it. Most don't have the money to burn. This leads them to have to go after old school measures for their business.

I personally, have never sponsored 1 person (business builder) from my warm market list. I have enrolled lots of customers. So for myself if I didn't have a large network online and leads pouring in daily, I wouldn't have much of a chance in network marketing. Neither do most people. You'll never hear that from your up-line, but most of them are full of BS and they teach things that the average person cannot do without some skill-set and knowledge. This is why I believe strongly in on-going training and a powerful marketing system for your biz. Don't be the messenger let the tools do the selling for you. But beyond that go through the numbers, lots and lots of numbers. We are in the sorting business. You may have to go through 100 leads to find 1 good soldier. You may have to go through another 10 to 15 people to find your next superstar.

I used to get bent out of shape when someone told me NO, now I don't care. I'd rather have them quit before I enroll them and spend hours training them. The more difficult someone is to enroll the more difficult they are to train and duplicate. Usually, they are a waste of time in most instances. Look for people who don't need a laundry list to make a Yes or No Decision. They are out there and those are really the only people you want on your team.

With all that being said. If you are really struggling and want to get some free advice on building your biz join my "30 Day MLM Bootcamp" for free at http://www.johnlowery.biz/

    JERKS for Network Marketing

I remember attending a church service a few years ago and my pastor made the remark, "Jerks for Jesus". You know those people who constantly bombard you with the bible before they even say hello. They tell you that your going to hell and have no idea who you are, or in many cases they don't even know your name. Sounds familiar, when we think of network marketing doesn't it?

Most people in network marketing are trained to go after everyone they know and to approach everyone no matter what, about their products and opportunity. It's no wonder that when you tell people you're in network marketing, many people want to run. It's usually protection from the other person that your only interest in that person is to either sell them some juice, or bring them into your business. After all, we get paid to prospect and to train others to prospect. If no products are sold throughout our organization, no one makes any money.

However, you can do the above without being a JERK for Network Marketing. If you really feel the need to have to talk to everyone, not my style, but if it's yours - ask FOR permission before you give your sales presentation. Find out if your prospect is employed, do they like their job, what their favorite color is. Know at least 2 or 3 critical things about your potential prospect before you even tell them about your business opportunity. You may find by listening, that in many cases you will have no reason to even mention your business. After all, if someone tells you they are very happy where they are and could care less about their health, telephone service, or travel - what's the need.

The same applies for Social Media. If you don't know someone and you want to approach someone about your opportunity, always ask their permission first. If you can't become professional with the way you approach people you not only won't make money in Network Marketing, but at the end of the day you won't have very many friends. Last but not least, if you know of someone who is in network marketing and they tell you they are happy where they are, don't try and get them to look at your opportunity - that SUCKS!

How to work with your new distributors?

I was sitting in my office this morning (Starbucks) after a 1 hour work out and as I was bringing in a new distributor, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Why do we always tell people to do it our way? What if this guy only has 1 or 2 hours per day to build his business? You see not everyone is going to build the same. What if the person hates the telephone, but loves face to face interaction? What if the person feels more comfortable leading with the product vs. the business? These are just things to think about when you bring a new person into your organization. If the guy has no budget to work with, obviously you can't have him go set up a pay per click account immediately.

So where do you begin? Personally, I would never ever have anyone doing any cold market marketing until they have at least hit their warm market (Yes Social Media, Pay Per Click, Classified Ads are cold)? Why? 2 examples: At store the other day with my son selling popcorn for Cub Scouts, we sold 2 bags of popcorn to people we knew effortlessly, but the rest of the people weren't as easy. Unless you have lots of sales experience you will fall flat on your face hitting a cold market early on. So regardless of how you come into an organization, you must hit your warm market first.

This is why I really really really like people who have some skill-set (sales, marketing, real estate, etc.), but have never done network marketing before. Their warm market is ripe. And once we go through that we can transition into cold and they will not have much of a problem with it. If your new person has been in multiple programs, they have more than likely exhausted their warm market, and will be forced into the cold. Which regardless of what you hear from all the so called guru's is tougher to build quickly and takes way more skill-set.

So where am I going? Nobody you bring on your team learns how to market to the cold world until they first go through their warm market. Secondly, treat each new distributor differently in terms of their time. Find out whether they are more comfortable face to face or on the phone. Find out what their schedule is. If your prospect works in a factory from 6AM - 6PM, you may need to have them just do marketing for you and your leaders. Again, find out and create a team. This isn't you against them, but a team. You build it, and you need to know your teams strength and weaknesses. But never let anyone off the hook from going after their warm market first. If they refuse to go after their warm market, I hope they have lots of sales and marketing experience.

    Network Marketing & Blackjack

I'm going to take a few minutes to compare MLM to Blackjack so you can understand it. If you are familiar with the game Blackjack you are aware that the name of the game is to get closest to 21 and to try and beat the dealer without going over 21. If you play that strategy you will always lose in a casino. If you learn basic strategy, you will sometimes win and sometimes lose, but still have a small disadvantage to the casino. So how can you win at Blackjack? Actually, you can win a lot more through a simple strategy known as counting cards. I actually learned this skill about 20 years ago and have tested it more than a few times and it does really work if you know what you are doing.

So what does blackjack have to do with MLM? Everything. You see I had to develop a skill-set to spend a week in a Casino and not lose my shorts. Many hours of hard work, studying, and practicing to even become an above average player and still not be able to make a living at it. It's the same with network marketing, most don't make it because they don't develop the skill-set necessary to do so.

What's the biggest skill-set in network marketing? It's pretty simple, talk to people. If you don't talk to people about your opportunity nothing is going to happen. Now that is just part of it, because by talking to people you are just sitting at The Blackjack Table. How about placing bets? That is called spear heading or marketing? Knowing who to talk to and what types of people will do well in our business model - eliminate your risk and time. How about counting cards? That is called closing. But that is the toughest skill to develop, because it requires being patient, understanding what your prospect wants, and most importantly believing in yourself and company/product.

Not everyone can do network marketing

You know what drives me crazy about network marketing? I know I can prospect and recruit. But getting others to do the same is not an easy task. This is why it's important to only recruit people who already have some skill-set. Why? Because if you don't, your newest recruits will wear you down. They will take up all your valuable time and more than likely they won't do anything. I know that sounds harsh, but this is a business. The nice thing about network marketing is you can choose who you want to work with. Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way by recruiting well over a 100 and watching most fail, because they lacked the skills necessary to be successful in this biz. It was my fault they failed, because had I known what i know now, I would have kicked many out after just a few minutes of conversation. I now know why this is not a lottery ticket, but a 2 to 4 year plan for the right person. Again, the right person, because I can promise you that not everyone can do network marketing. Just like, not everyone can play pro football, or sell real estate.

So what's the secret? First and foremost your newest recruit must be hungry. They must have drive and have performed at a high level in another profession. I know this may piss a few of you off, but your born with drive and if you never found success anywhere else and you think you will be successful in network marketing - the odds are stacked against you. You either have drive, or you don't, it's just that simple.

So rather than trying to convince people why they should join your business, spin it on them and have them sell you on why you should invest your valuable time in supporting and training them. I can promise you that 1 good soldier is better than 25 bad ones. If you don't believe me, just ask anyone who has been in this business for more than 5 years if there is any truth to that.

    Prosperity Central

I was thinking about it today as I have had so many leads coming in the past few weeks for my network marketing business that there has been no way for me to follow up with everyone. I personally, never rely only on email auto-responders to do my biz. I like to give everyone a follow up call just seeing if I can be of assistance and interview them individually to see if they qualify to be on my team (plus they can see that I am a real person, unlike 95% of the other online network marketers). So what if you could use a system to score your prospects and do the sorting for you, based on their activity on your website??? For example in my system a score of 400 would be off the charts (your joining), 200 would be very good (your going to join after I answer a few questions), 100 good (good chance), and 50 or below probably not worth following up with. They get scored every time they open an email: 10 points, watch a video 50 points, listen to trackable opportunity call 50 points, etc... This system rocks!

So now is your chance to check out my system and get yours today for free for 30 days. If your a pro networker you will want the professional account. If you have a big organization you will want the premier account (valued at over $300 per month in goodies). To learn more visit http://www.theultimatesystem.info and quit chasing people to join your biz.

Time Management and why email & social media can waste it

I was just going through my emails this morning and noticing with all the marketing messages, how I could possibly have time to read them all, unless I wanted to spend my entire day reading emails. This goes for social media as well.

How much time do you spend per day reading your emails? How much time per day do you spend on Social Media? If you're spending more than a few hours per day on either, your probably wasting time.

Time Management will make you or break you in business. It also applies to network marketing. Unfortunately in network marketing we don't get paid to look at emails or spend all day on Facebook. We get paid to prospect and teach others to do the same.

Here is a tip for you. Make a schedule of your day before you start your day and try to stick to it as closely as possible.

    Make it a great day!

The Fortune is in The Follow Up!

I wanted to share a few experiences with everyone as I think there is way too much hype on the internet these days as it pertains to recruiting for network marketing professionals. Having personally sponsored well over a 150 people in my short network marketing career (over 30 in a single month), I can honestly say that I have only ever enrolled 1 or 2 people without following up. Yes, you have to hear the truth and it will set you free. If you expect people to join your business without following up, your sponsor, partner, mentor, whoever that may be - is leading you astray. It will never, never, happen, at least not in network marketing.

So where does that leave you? You must overcome your fears of the telephone and follow up with your people. Not only with your prospects, but also your newest recruits. 2 things happen when you follow up that you must know: 1) It creates a sense of urgency, 2) It helps people make a decision much quicker and not forget about you. Now I'm not saying you call people 5 to 7 times and chase them down until they die or buy. That is not network marketing, that is sales. The point of difference between the two will make you or break you.

So where do you end the follow up? I would end it when you feel the person is no longer responding to your requests or returning your calls - have a sense of pride. I usually will not call anyone more than 3 times ever. Again, I don't care if people join my business or not, truthfully the harder they are to enroll, the harder they are to train. So look for those who move pretty quick and remember "The Fortune is in the follow up"

Can you do your business sometimes?

I've heard many tell me over the years that I am just going to do my business when I get some free time. Although 90% of the people starting out in this business are not in a financial position to do this full-time, or any business for that matter. Let me just say this, you can do your business part-time or full-time, but you cannot do it sometimes. You will fail by doing it sometimes. If I opened up a family restaurant and decided I would just go in there every other Saturday to check on my employees, my business would be in serious trouble quickly. I would say that the minimum time commitment that someone could put into their business to become successful would be at least 10 to 15 hours per week. Start treating your business like you have put your house on the line for it, or your car, or your bank account. That is the sort of dedication it will take you to get into profit.

What to do with your 2 to 3 hours per day? As Randy Gage says, if your phone isn't ringing off the hook from your downline, you should be prospecting. Let's face it gang, regardless of all the hype on the net these days from all these so called guru's telling you that you don't have to talk to anyone. We get paid to prospect. It's that simple. If you're not prospecting and your team members aren't prospecting none of us are going to make any money.

The Secret, Thoughts, and your bad habits!

When I was 18 I first got introduced to “The Secret” through a book called, “You Cannot Afford The Luxury of a Negative Thought”. 20 years later, I’m still using the same techniques I first learned (20 years ago), which was usually trying to avoid filling my mind with anything negative (my christian upbringing made this exercise fairly easy). Of course, I had to learn other techniques to control my obsession for nose candy, nicotine, women, and fast cars. I also had a huge problem with spending way more money than I had coming in and was bankrupt by the age of 27. Does this sound familiar? If so, I would love to hear of some of your struggles in terms of overcoming your addictive behaviors.

    You are great!

I was thinking about it today when in conversation with a close friend - that we are all great. Unfortunately, most of us don't feel that way as we have been programmed for mediocrity since we were just little kids. Many from the day we were born. Our parents, siblings, churches, teachers, and even our spouses have told us false stories about who we really are.

We look at life based on who we think we are, or worse yet, who we are told we are. But that is not who you really are. You are much bigger than a piece of paper, your career, your education, and your bank account. One of my all time favorite quotes that I want to share with you is by a man who is now in his eighties, but a very very wise man. His name is Zig Ziglar, and If you haven't read his biography "ZIG", I highly encourage you to (this one book will change your mind). Here is the quote, "Man was designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with the seeds of greatness." If you like that quote you might want to jot it down and keep it close to you - Because you are great. You really are. You may not be great at everything, but you are great at something. Find your passion, find your heart, find your everything, and be great!

    All You Need is Love?

While attending a new moon ceremony this evening, I had a breakthrough moment. I realized that leadership isn't about looking good, or what you can get from others, but what we can give. Giving your time, energy, and expertise without expecting anything in return. Unfortunately, this is not the way that most operate in our world today, but if we could all make that shift, we would find greater peace in knowing that our future on this planet isn't about what we can get from others, but what we can give. Once we can see that we can affect many people through our thoughts, words, and actions, it allows us to move into a contagious space.

I personally have hurt a few individuals in the past and placed blame on others for my failures, but the truth is that Love is the one thing that all great leaders possess. I've seen it firsthand in politics, business, church, school, and family life.

"It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership."

    Is Agel a scam?

Recently I came across a company for the 2nd time in my few years in the industry. I had to take another look since I started researching companies a few months ago. I am very impressed with Agel's "gel suspension technology". It's a category creator in our industry and sets a point of difference from the other types of products in our industry (juices, pills, and lotions). The leadership and culture look to be top notch with Eric Worre and industry icon Randy Gage leading the field. They have highly consumable products that appeal to the baby boomers & health minded indviduals, and they recently added a skin care line that would appeal more so to women. Let's face it, 70% of our industry are made up by women.

I checked the MLM Rankings and Agel is currently ranked #93 out of 600 Companies. This site ranks companies based on popularity.

    The pros:

    * Products that are easy to understand
    * Gel suspension allows for immediate absorption (better than vitamins or powders)
    * Easy to share samples
    * Hybrid Binary type pay plan (spillover)
    * Great Leaders
    * Been around for close to 5 years
    * Global
    * Culture
    * Products that appeal to both baby boomers & women
    * minimum autoship $60 (good for those who just want to be customers)

    The cons:

    * only 2 levels to come in as a business builder $250 or $1000
    * gel suspension may not be attractive to some

With only a few cons that I can find. I would seriously consider joining this company. They have already survived the first wave where 95% of most mlm companies go belly up. They have a nice product line with both the gel suspension (which includes an antioxidant line, weight loss, vitamins, and energy), they also have a full skin care line (wrinkles have been known to keep people awake at night). And they are global. As an online network marketer being global is essential for my success!

    Is Genewize a Scam?

I was fortunate enough yesterday to spend some time looking at a company out of Florida called Genewize. GeneWize is the newly formed marketing arm of a 12 year old, publicly traded company. The company is GeneLink inc., and they are a well respected genetic, biosciences company. The company is in the earliest stages, and is less than a year old on the network marketing side. I tried hard to gather information on company leadership, to no avail. They are home to some of the biggest names in online network marketing: Jonathan Budd & Katie Freiling are both affiliates with Genewize. I was fortunate enough to sit on a 30 minute webinar with my good friend Tara Wilson who is one of the top income earners in the company. I really liked her presentation, besides a few of the technical difficulties. During the presentation I learned about a very unique product that is designed to match your DNA. After examining your DNA, GeneWize will create your personalized formula for nutritional supplements and skin repair serum with 100% active ingredients individually selected to enhance or diminish the biological processes causing you to age. It's a pretty amazing product and I really enjoyed what I saw.

As for compensation, it looks like they have a good pay plan with a monthly bonus rewards so if you recruit 1 person into your business you get 10% off of your $129 monthly autoship, 2 people 20%, 3 people 50%, and 4 people 100%. So basically, if you bring in 4 people per month into your business as either customers or business builders your product is free. This doesn't take into account the monthly bonus pools, stock options, and of course their residual income on the back end (why we all do network mareketing). On the binary leg it appeared to be a hybrid with matching bonuses of 40% on the 1st level, 20% on the 2nd, and 10% on the 3rd. I can't really find anything wrong with their pay plan, it looks pretty strong.

    Pros:

Great Product - Unique (don't know of too many products matching DNA?)
Low start up (less than $300)
Simple (only 2 products to date)
    Compensation looks strong
timing (looks good, poised for growth w/less than 20,000 distributors)
top leaders already on board (that says alot)
12 years of research (Scientific Advisory Board Includes 4 MD's and 4 PHD's)

    Cons:

minimum autoship is a bit high at $129 per month (could be tough to retain customers)
    only in the US currently
Network Marketing Business less than a year old
Binary is a bit confusing to the average person
Product is so unique, may be difficult for people to understand

So here is the million dollar question, would I join Genewize? I certainly would consider, I think the only 2 things that would hold me back is I would want to learn more about the management team (as leaderships is critical). I want to know who the captain of my ship is. I'm not too fond of only being able to market in the USA. I think for someone who is going to build primarily in their own backyard this would be a great company. I mean if you live in Tampa Bay and your not an online marketer, your probably only going to build within 30 miles from where you live.

Massive Action will always produce mediocre results

Massive Action will always equal mediocre results without the proper mindset. This is why I used to always hit a ceiling in sales. I would become the top performer or have the best month ever, but never be able to stay on top for more than 6 - 12 months at a time. I used to blame those who were able to stay on top all the time. Looking back I realize, it wasn't so much that they were great salespeople or marketers, but that they had the million dollar mindset. Many people are just born with it, and others like myself have to do lots and lots of work to re-program our minds for greatness.

You are greater than you think?

Most everything in our world is energy and our minds are way more powerful than you can possibly imagine. Most of our beliefs are distorted viewpoints that we were taught at very young ages to comply with a very dysfunctional system to keep us weak, broke, and unable to achieve the greatness we all have within.

    Is Evolv a good company?

There is a new company on the block Evolv Health out of Dallas, Texas. They are becoming one of the fastest growing newer direct selling companies and attracting some of the most well names in the direct selling industry: Robert Dean, Ken Dunn, Garrett McGrath, and most recently Mike Healy.

Why are these prominent leaders moving over to a start-up company that has only been in business for less than a year? I think it has a lot to do with the company owner Trey White. Trey is a billionaire businessman out of Dallas and he is investing his own money into flying these leaders into Dallas to meet with him personally. With the highest monthly check of 1.5 Million for one month in our industry, I doubt anyone can sit in a room with Trey White and even come close to his wealth. A Billion dollars is just 1 million over 999 Million, not many people have that sort of money in the world today. People in the business community respect Trey and those that get in front of him are obviously impressed.

The leadership team seems to be rock solid, although their CEO Brent Hicks who is leading the company has never been in network marketing as far as I can see. He has had lots of success in the mortgage industry. Their VP of sales Dr. Anne Bodak Smith does have a background in network marketing and her experience should be helpful to those in the field.

Their website and brand looks more like a Fortune 500 Company vs. a direct selling company. They even recently launched an I-phone application, so distributors can share and enroll on their I-phone. I'm sure many other companies will follow-up with an app like that if they are smart.

I've looked at their comp plan, which is a typical hybrid binary with a coded bonus on the back end. Can't complain about their comp plan apparently it was designed by the best comp designers in the industry. Hybrid binary pay plans are hot right now, and allow for everyone to build an organization as long as you get in a good position. If not, spillover is non-existent and you will be left building 2 legs, not just one.

Now the big problem with Evolv, which people should think long and hard about before joining. Their formula the Archaea Active which increases oxygen at a cellular level and is also an anti-inflammatory, is not cheap. With shipping and handling it cost about $2.80 per 17 ounce bottle. I've been told this is a marketers dream, but having a marketing background & degree in business I can say that perception is everything. People only see a $3 bottle of water. It may do great things for the body, but when you market a formula in spring water, the formula become secondary to the spring water. This is where the trouble begins, as the distributor than has to explain the story behind the formula, and try to convince his people to do the same. "It's like you see this bottle, well it looks like water, but it's not. We just put our formula in here as the delivery system." If your not a pro salesmen type it will be a bit challenging to move lots of Evolv.

If your online marketer like myself, let's just say Evolv will be a tough deal. Due to the perception is everything rule. You will really need to go belly to belly to make Evolv work. I would not recommend Evolv to any online network marketers, as you will find it difficult to have success with this product. This is one where you really have to become a good story teller to move product. It can be done over the net, as I have done it, but most all the money is being made by the old school networkers who build culture with Evolv.

Will Evolv be around for the long haul? I think Evolv will be around for awhile, but in order for them to have real success they might want to go with re-packaging their product into sample packs that cost about a 1/3rd the price. Since in marketing, perception is everything, Evolv would be smart to re-package their bottles, so they look more like a Fiji water or Perrier, so they can justify the cost and not have to explain so heavily why their bottled water cost 5 times as much as the water in the stores. Their website, and Iphone apps look so amazing, but their bottled water looks so cheap?

Attrition will kill you in network marketing

In terms of network marketing, I have been involved in 4 different companies in the past 4 year XANGO, ZRII, Mandura, and Evolv. I am currently still with Evolv and Mandura. 4 in 4 years seems like alot for most, but truthfully most network marketers are involved in 4 different companies within a year. I have gone back in my head regarding that plague in our industry known as attrition and will let you know that most companies in our industry have very high rates of attrition. I cannot be altogether certain, but I thought I read somewhere where the average attrition rate in our industry was 70%. That means for every 10 customers only 3 will continue to order on a regular basis.

Since I am doing a review this month on MLM Companies I thought I would simply put XANGO, ZRII, Mandura, and Evolv all together. My attrition rate with Xango was about 10% (9 out of 10 customers stayed, also fairly good economy), with Zrii my attrition rate was about 70% (3 out of 10 stayed), with Mandura it was about 50% (1/2 stayed on autoship), with Evolv it's about 60% (4 out of 10 stay on the product).

Why is this important? It's critical you get this. You need to know your company's attrition rate so you know how many people you need to recruit and they need to recruit to become profitable. It is also a great way to evaluate your products and company. If 70% attrition is the industry average and your company is at 90%, then you have a serious problem, that maybe you cannot fix.

From now on start paying close to your attrition rates, as if you don't your not being a smart business person.

    Massive Action = Massive Results

I wish I could say that were true. But just because you work hard doesn't mean you are going to be a great success. If that were the case then 80% of the world would be wealthy not 20%. Most of the people I know work very hard just to make ends meet. So how do you change this programming that so many of us were taught a young age. If I just work harder, I will have more? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if your goal is to make $500,000 per year and become a famous author, that you may have to do some things differently if your the manager of a retail store earning only $50K per year and your time is limited. Whatever it is you desire you must chart out a course of action to get there. If my goal is to make $100K per year, I had better be in a career or be on a path where I know that is possible. Here are some tips to help you make more money in your business:

    Change your mindset
Work backwards (Decide what you want to become first, if you don't know where you are going how are you going to get there?)
80/20 Rule - focus on income producing activities 80% of the time, delegate the other 20%
    Affirmations
Vision Board (must have a vision of where you are headed)
    Ignore Other Peoples Opinions
Don't apologize to anyone for pursuing your dreams
Don't fish for fish in your backyard swimming pool

    The WIFM Factor for Biz

Are you familiar with the term The WIFM Factor? It's actually an acronym for: What's in it for me? This is the question most every network marketer to understand to really be able to dig deeper into their prospects mind. This is why when you are looking for people to join your home based business, or buy your product, you must ask questions like: How much money do you want per month? When do you want to leave your JOB? Where do you want to travel to? What are your dreams and aspirations? You need to know certain things about your prospect, or you won't be able to move them along through the process, much less qualify them.

A few tips to get you going for the week:

Listen, listen, listen. Most people want to talk too much. Your job isn't to give away all the information on the first call, it's to find out about your prospect. This is why God gave you 2 ears and 1 mouth. The best salespeople and networkers are good listeners.

Pretend you are independently wealthy and you don't need your prospects business. This way you won't sound desperate and you will truly spend time with those that have a need/want for your product or service.

Give, Give, Give. You can give a lot of value if you have a strong belief in yourself, your opportunity, products, etc. Your prospect will hear you loud and clear. Enthusiasm is contagious

    Are women better networkers?

I have a great idea for you to grow your MLM business if it isn't moving ahead as quickly as you would like. How about shifting your focus to women? Yes, women are better networkers than men. Sorry Gents, it's just a fact that 70% of our industry is made up by women. Women are relational and men are cave dwellers. If you don't believe me just look at the number of words a woman uses per day compared to a man, 20,000 to 7,000. Imagine having a team of all women??? 13,000 more words per day. In my latest venture I have a 5 to 1 women to men ratio. I looked at most of my past numbers and realized that women always take alot less hand holding than men. Women are more emotional, so if they like a product, watch out. I brought my mother into one of my network marketing businesses, she had no prior experience, loved the product and brought on 5 of her friends in a very short period of time. If you have a hot product, that women will love, than you might want to look at network marketing from another perspective.

Heck, I may just need to join Avon - ha ha....

Can you change your health with your mind?

I used to be very skeptical of this up until about 3 years ago, when after suffering with chronic stomach pain for over 6 months, I got desperate. I picked up the telephone and started calling chiropractors. I had remembered my brother had seen a chiropractor as a young boy for his asthma and thought, maybe a chiropractor could help me with my stomach ailment. As I made the calls a chiropractor did answer the phone and he said he could help me. After meeting with him, I knew he was godsent. He helped me understand how my mind and body were connected. I begin seeing him regularly not only for my regular adjustments, but also because of all of his positive energy. I begin to feel better in a few weeks and by a few months I was feeling much better. The stomach ailment has never gone away completely, but when it comes around periodically, I have learned to shift my focus away from the discomfort. Attention goes, where energy flows.

If you're in chronic pain or discomfort. Try to re-focus your energy elsewhere. Anytime you start to find yourself drifting into your pain, simply change the channel and focus on another part of your body that feels good. Start to visualize yourself getting better and believe that you have the ability to heal yourself. Take your ailment and turn it over to The God of your understanding and pray for healing. Do this for 30 days, and you should start to feel better. You must believe it, see it, visualize, and shift focus.

Is B-hip Global a Good Company?

I recently was fortunate enough to speak with one of the founders of this company. I spent a little time on their website and have tried their products. I'll be honest I wasn't crazy about their energy drink, but their Noni Product was very good. I haven't tried their other products, but have heard pretty powerful testimonials on their product Pleasūr which is a patented intimacy product for women intended to enhance responsiveness during intimate sexual activity.

I am very very very impressed that this company having been around for just barely 3 years is now doing $5 Million a month in business - that's phenomenal for a company this young.

Their leadership team is strong and they have a great world-wide presence in The United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, and Japan.

The cost to get started in B-hip is relatively low at $49.95 annually, but they do have other ways to get started that put you in a faster growth situation. There is also no maintenance requirement to keep your position with the company, but in order to earn commissions you will need to order to maintain ongoing activation, an RBC must have a minimum of 20 BV* points of personal volume (PV) in each activation period.

There Are Seven Ways to Earn Money with the BHIP Global Compensation System:

    1. Retail Profits
    2. Rising Star Bonus
    3. Super Star Bonus
    4. Override Bonus
    5. Leadership Match
    6. Leadership Bonus
    7. Car Bonus

It looks like their payout is around 65%, which is very good. It also looks to be a hybrid binary, which is a very good pay plan for most people.

If I was looking for a rock solid company with a proven track record, that has already made it past the critical time period when most network marketing companies fail, I would seriously consider aligning myself with this company. Not only are they rock solid and adding multiple products to their customer/distributor base, but they are in multiple countries. If your an online guy like myself, you really don't want to be with a company that is only in the US.

Is Mona Vie a Good Company?

Who can argue that Mona Vie isn't a great company. They've only been around for about 5 years and already doing over a billion annually in sales. This company has done incredibly well, and boasts the highest income earner in MLM Brig Hart (about $600K monthly in commissions). Last I heard they had around 900,000 distributors, but it is probably higher than that.

Their product is a juice product that boasts the ingredient of the Acai Berry. Most claim that this fruit boasts many anti-oxidants. I have been fortunate enough to drink Acai Berry for many months in another juice and it is very good. I have tried Mona Vie and the product tastes pretty good, but at the time I couldn't justify another $120 a month autoship, since I was already consuming another product. The product does contain preservatives, which will turn off alot of the people who allocate a portion of their disposable income to health & nutrition. Other than that, I can't see why many wouldn't want to at least try the juice product. It is a bit pricey for the average person. I think this product would attract the upper middle class or wealthy and it has a very elegant looking bottle, so I think MonaVie gets that. The only middle class people drinking MonaVie are probably distributors.

Their leadership appears to be rock solid and their pay plan utilizes the hybrid binary, my personal favorite. I believe Monavie has really changed the compensation of network marketing as they were one of the first companies to implement the hybrid binary pay plan.

The only downside I can see to Monavie is the product is pricey at $120 a month autoship, they have preservatives, you will probably have to purchase more products elsewhere to get your vitamins.

The other downside I see, is they have already hit critical mass with around a million distributors, I think it would be tough to market a single product - lots and lots of competition. I would interview people who haven't been in the industry long to see how they are doing, before I would just jump into this company.

The positives: pay plan, solid leadership, company, and training. I just don't see MonaVie going anywhere anytime soon. They have done very well. I think if someone isn't a risk taker they are probably going to be better off with a more established company. With 95% failure rate of companies in network marketing, you are always safer with a more established company. Although the big money is probably before critical mass. Sorry, you missed it with MonaVie, but it appears to be rock solid.

    Is Kyani a good company?

I recently came across a company called Kyani. It appears that Kyani is another juice company with a twist. Instead of sending out just juice in their monthly autoship they also include vitamins. This could be good, as anyone who becomes a distributor can just switch stores and purchase all their vitamins, juice, etc. with Kyani's monthly autoship program. The autoship does seem a little high for the average person at $130 a month if you're a customer and $120 per month if you're a distributor. I figure this product like most network marketing products would be a bit pricey for just the consumer, unless of course that person is spending close to $130 per month on their vitamins.

One advantage I do see to Kyani is that they have a global presence in multiple countries, which is very important if your going to build a sustainable network marketing company over time. I did learn that they have made a few mistakes in their global launch and that their liquid vitamin "flagship product" is still not available in some countries.

I do like their leadership team, even though most lack network marketing experience. I was fortunate enough to speak with one of their VP's who has had over 16 years of experience in network marketing and seemed to be very well versed in the industry. I'm very impressed that Kyani has survived the first 3 years of business and with 35,000 distributors currently worldwide this company is poised for growth in the near future. Not to mention they are owned by billionaire potato farmers, capital is always important in any company, but especially a young one.

The comp plan in Kyani appears to be a uni-level with a pretty good pay out overall. I always try to use the 10% rule. Kyani would be good for anyone who is very passionate about health & wellness, but being a uni-level you would be mostly on your own building the business and probably wouldn't ever inherit any new people from your upline unless of course you get lucky or have a very pro-active sponsor.

Overall, I would give Kyani a B- for product/services & opportunity. For me to get real excited about Kiyani they would need to change their comp plan and lower their autoship to the $100 mark to compete with other juice companies.

Is World Ventures a good company?

I recently took a look at an MLM company called World Ventures based out of Dallas, Texas. This company looks to be pretty solid, although when I put a search on Google, I did notice that they did have quite a few complaints. I saw, their pricing wasn't as good as expedia or travelocity. I did like their pay plan as it seems to put money in the distributors pockets much faster than a traditional network marketing company. I'm still a little concerned about their pricing to become a distributor at over $200, puts in the tougher to recruit for category. I tend to find the best MLM Companies offer ways for their distributors to get started for less than $200. They do have a fast start bonus of 10% off each sale, which is very low compared to most MLM Fast Start Bonuses. They have implemented other bonuses based on your ability to recruit. With the average network marketer only able to recruit 3 people on average to any company - their model would scare me a bit, as you would really have to find go getters to build your business. Not a bad thing, as most network marketing opportunities require the same thing. The binary looks very good as it pays out about 16% on the weaker leg, where most pay out about 5 - 10% on the weak side. With all that being said, I would say that World Ventures could be a good opportunity for a sales oriented person. You got to keep in mind with World Ventures you are selling an intangible - vacations. I searched the industry for other companies selling travel in an MLM model and quite honestly it looked to be very low. So your competition would be much lower than with a nutritional company, which tends to make up the majority of network marketing.

    The advantages of World Ventures:

Pay plan is good for the builder
Management Team has lots of experience in network marketing
Product seems overpriced, but travel is easier to market than a colon cleanser
they have been around for over 3 years (most MLM Companies go broke in their first 3 years)
I personally don't think travel will ever die out due to poor economic times, I mean everyone wants to travel.

    The disadvantages of World Ventures:

    Fast Start Bonus is lousy
Pay Plan only looks to be good for the builder (long term passive takes longer and pays out less than most MLM Opportunities, most commissions are paid on the initial orders)
Product doesn't fend as well as some of the other online travel companies

All in all from the looks of this company. I would certainly consider becoming a distributor with them if I was looking for a new home. I probably wouldn't recruit anyone who didn't have a sales background, as I think you really need to have some skill-set to be a part of this company. I also think you could build a business that would attract non-distributors. As I always say, if you can't build a business with products only, your biz will eventually fall apart like a deck of cards.

Which Comp Plan is the best for network marketing?

There has always been alot of debate on who has the best comp plan. In this blog I am going to disclose what I think are the best comp plans based on skill-set and what I have seen after spending 4 years in the industry.

I'm only going to talk about 3 comp plans as from what I can see, most all the companies launching today are implementing one of the following. I will give you the pro's and con's of each pay plan. Before I jump into comp plans its important that your company offer a Fast Start Bonus for the first 30 days. This is critical, as your newest distributors who may have never done network marketing need to get their investment back quickly. It's not fair to bring people into a business where it takes 20 people in their downline to cover their monthly autoship. If companies got this, which most do, they can retain distributors at a much higher level.

Unilevel - Personally, I like Unilevel and have my best success in a unilevel, but they generally will only work well for people like myself. In a Uni-level pay plan there is no forced positioning. You can generally build it as wide as I want, and most distributors will not benefit from any activity above them, only below them. This probably would have worked alot better in the days before the internet, but now with so many programs out there allowing you to position yourself good, this is a tough build. I would only recommend a unilevel to a pro networker. The average guy, will always have difficulty here. Out of the hundreds I have recruited over the years, I have only seen a handful be able to build a unilevel. There are now 3 leg uni-levels, but still usually don't get the penetration for your new guy. The advantage of a uni-level is better pay outs overall as you get paid on your entire group volume. Disadvantage, you must build the entire thing yourself, unless you get a sponsor who is willing to give away a few people and help you build. (A capitalist pay plan)

Forced Matrix - This pay plan has become very popular lately, especially on the net. It's the WIFM pay plan "What's in it for me?" This pay plan works something like this: You have 3 people on your first level, 9 on your second, 27 on your third, and so on. This system allows for spillover. Once the matrix gets filled the people have to go under you. There is nowhere else for them to go. I like this pay plan a lot as it creates lots of synergy. The downside is that this pay plan generally attracts an individual who is more lottery minded, so you get a bunch of people in the matrix who aren't going to do much of anything and this is why most matrix's collapse over time. No reward for those that want to build big. And if someone gets lucky, they can get a check for doing practically nothing. (A socialist pay plan)

Hybrid Binary - I've never really been in a hybrid binary until recently, but I really like it. Here is how it works: You have 2 legs (a weak side & a strong side). You get paid on the volume of your weak side. So if you have 1 leg doing $10K per month, and the other doing $20K, you get paid on the $10K. Some of the newer ones I have seen are paying out up to 17% to infinity on your weak side. What does that represent in dollars? Well lets say you had $10K on your weak side and you were getting 10%, 10% of 10K is $1K. If you had $20K you would be getting $2K, $50K = $5K and so on. As you can see this is pretty easy to understand. The hybrid aspect of this pay plan is what I really like. Say for instance you sponsor someone and they end up on your strong leg. You still can make money on that strong leg, because you get what is called a check match of anywhere from 25% - %100 of that distributors monthly residual check. So let's say you sponsored 5 people who were all earning $500 per month and you were getting a check match of 100%, you would get an additional check of $2500 per month, just off the check match. I can dig deeper on hybrid binary, but I won't as many start to get different outside of what I have just described. This pay plan will work for the average guy, because it will allow for quick growth like a matrix "spillover" and it will also promote activity, "check match". The only disadvantage is you are not getting paid on the overall volume like you are in a forced matrix or unilevel. But unilevel's are difficult to build and forced matrix's don't force behavior. So today, I would run with a hybrid binary so you get the best of both worlds. Spillover and forced activity. (The Capitalist meets Socialist Pay Plan)

How to save yourself years of heartache in network marketing?

So you've decided to do network marketing. You went to the meeting you saw the images of sitting on a beach drinking pina coladas while your children play in the sand. I'm going to just say for a few minutes that these images are great, but they are not real. Not in the beginning, not in the very least. Network marketing is not easy. It really is not easy. It's taken me 3 to 4 years of constant study and making many mistakes to figure it out. I guess that isn't too bad considering it takes most people 4 years of education to earn a degree so they can get an entry level job that pays maybe $30 - $50K per year.

So how do you make money in network marketing? Here is how you do it, and it is so simple. Only work with those people who want to do network marketing. I'll say it again, only work with those people who want to do network marketing. Many people do not like network marketing and they certainly don't want to do it, so quit wasting your time with those people. Think of yourself like a miner for gold. Except your gold is highly motivated, coachable individuals who want to do this business. Don't convince, don't lie, don't jump through hoops, just put people through a simple system of showing them the opportunity and let them sell themselves. Your job isn't to sign people up, your job is to present and let people sign themselves up. This will save you years of grief and you will always bring in the right people. The wrong people will just waste your time and slow you down. Your job doesn't end after someone signs up for your business - it begins.

    A Back Up Plan

Do you have a back up plan? No really, do you have a back up plan? I usually like to stay on the positive, but with all the businesses failing lately and people losing their jobs in The US, I cannot ignore this any longer. Do you have a Back Up Plan? If you were to lose your job or your current business were to go under, or worse yet your pension (yes people are losing their pensions), social security (the government could run out of money and deplete these programs), 401K (That is all I have to say) do you have a way to sustain yourself for a year or two, while you get back on your feet?

Why network marketing? Here is why I recommend network marketing as a viable back up plan, while you continue to work your regular job, or business. As a matter of fact, I would never recommend that anyone start network marketing full-time unless they have capital. This is a business folks. Below is why you should consider network marketing.

    * Low start up costs (usually less then $500)
    * Low maintenance (few hundred a month including products)
    * Tax write offs (why give anymore money to the IRS than you are giving?)
    * Improving People Skills (You will develop skills that will make you much more valuable)
    * Immediate cash (Many companies now offer Fast Start Bonuses)
    * Long term Passive residual income (This is the same income most of the rich have)

It's funny how most of us have been programmed that anything that shows up as an opportunity would be considered a scam. If our industry was a scam, I doubt very much that the Orlando Magic would be playing basketball in The Amway Arena. Or that David Beckham the worlds most popular soccer player would wear The Herbalife Logo on his jersey. But still everyday when I am talking to people they want to tell me how our industry is a scam. I think the main reason for this is people have either been burned in the past, or it has happened to a loved one. So rather than keeping an open mind like a parachute, they will continually miss out on opportunities.

Here is my final advice to help you move forward as the world's economy is now changing (duh!).

    * Keep an open mind (The business landscape is changing)
    * Get a back up plan (Even if it's not network marketing)
    * Start learning tax laws (Most of the rich know them, why shouldn't you)
    * Don't ever, ever, ever, ever quit (Try to step back and look at the big picture)

I don't care what anyone says network marketing is a great industry and I have many friends who have made millions in network marketing. If you feel like you would like to participate and make this your back up plan, contact me or another leader to learn how you can get started on your way to creating passive residual income.

Living The Life of Your Dreams?

Do you feel like your life is exactly where you want it to be at this very moment? If you answered NO, you are not alone. Most of us are not living a life beyond our wildest dreams. Not because we don't want to, but most of us have followed the guidance of those who weren't living a life beyond their wildest dreams. How can you get what you desire if your being taught how to be mediocre? This is why I choose to surround myself with mentors who have had great success, and people who only see the glass half full vs. half empty.

It's interesting to me how most of us spend more time planning for our family vacation then we do planning to achieve our goals. As a matter of fact, a latest statistic shows that only 3% of the public at large actually set their goals. It's no wonder that only 1% of the general public are wealthy?

So how can you get yourself to where you want to be - Starting Immediately? Here are a few tips to get you on the path to start living a life beyond your wildest dreams.

    * Quit blaming others for wherever you are at TODAY - Take all responsibility
    * Don't live in the past and dwell on it (Only reflect to repeat success or for what you learned)
    * Write down your goals (30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years)
    * Never let someone else's goals and dreams define yours ( I know many who are quite happy in
their careers, being a stay at home mom, pastor, realtor, network marketer, etc...) You own your
own dreams, they only belong to you.
    * Understand that you really only have complete control over your thoughts, images, and
behaviors. (try to recognize things that you don't control and accept that)
    * Attitude is everything. (Remember, life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it)

Hope these tips have helped you gain more insight to where you are going and what you are doing to get there. Your letting go of the past, accepting full responsibility, writing down goals, accepting the things you cannot change, and keeping positive thoughts, images, and behaviors will be pivotal to whatever success you are looking for and living that life beyond your wildest dreams.

    My Favorite MLM Leaders

We have leaders in every industry, and since I have carved out a niche for myself as an online marketing/social media/transformation coach for network marketers and internet marketers, I thought it would be a good idea to pay tribute to those leaders who have influenced me personally over the past few years. What's really cool is of all these leaders I am going to mention I have only not met 3 of them personally. So, here we go in order of influence on my career: Jim Lutes, Randy Gage, Eric Allen, Dave & Doug Vass, Eric Worre, Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Rachel Henke, Corey Citron, Jonathan Budd, Tracey Walker, and Katie Frieling. I would recommend plugging into any of these leaders if you are interested in building a career in network marketing.

    Time Management on Steroids

I've recently learned about a law called, "Parkinson's Law", which states that Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion. How does this apply to your business? It's quite simple rather than working in tasks, you work in time frames. Most successful people use this law, as it makes perfect sense. Let's say you have a project you want to complete in 2 weeks, you simply change the date, even if it seems unrealistic. So you would just simply change the date to 1 week, or 3 days. By doing that, you have made an unconscious shift and filled the space differently. This can also apply to network marketers. Rather than saying I'm going to work until I contact 10 people today, you might say from 1 - 3 PM, I'm going to do all my prospecting. This is also great way to build your business, because you can always structure your day around time, but you cannot structure your work schedule around numbers or results, that usually shows up as a result of how you structure your time.

As you grow your business instead of saying this month I will sponsor 5 people or 10, or whatever, try making a shift to where every day you are setting your schedule around time. Block out windows of time for different tasks and see if that makes a difference. As you get better and better using this principle you will be able to many times cut your workload in half and get just as much done.

    Passion

Today I wanted to share with you something I know you must have to be completely full-filled in your life. Passion is that delicious high lifting energy that births our ideas, our vision, and our inspiration into the physical world. It is the energy that drives us into action, so that our dreams can become a reality.

Nothing changes in our lives without the driving force of passion - whether that passion be out of love or need. When we are passionately engaged with life, we are constantly in a state of birthing, and creating on a physical level. We create new circumstances, opportunities, results and relationships. If passion is coupled with our creator, we can create truly live remarkable lives.

This is why some people are walking around with smiles on their faces and truly impacting others, not just themselves. While others just kind of cruise through life, unaware of where they are going, or how they are making a difference (so sad).

If you are missing anything in your life, this is the one thing you just cannot miss. Your passion doesn't necessarily have to be your career, it can be your hobby too. Taking time out of our days to pursue our passions, is so vitally important, that it is one of the first things I try to help people to disclose when coaching them.

Many of us are scared of this powerful force, our passion. As we go through life, we discover disappointment, unfulfilled goals, roadblocks to what we want ... and we learn not to want. We learn that "you can't have it all," or can't have it all at once. We are taught to put others first, to give rather than to receive, and that desire is the root of all suffering. And so most of us learn to suppress passion, to not let desire rise within us until we are practically incapable of discerning what we truly want for ourselves.

My challenge to you this week is to dig deep and make a list of things that drive you. It could be that golf game, teaching career you've always desired, basket weaving, poker, softball, or maybe you want to become a jazz singer. I always say, "If it's Sunday Evening and your dreading going to your job on Monday, that you are truly missing out on your passion." I know of many who have given up many creature comforts to go back to school, start a home based business, pursue real estate, write a book. Whatever it be, remember that life is short and that time is ticking away.

We engage with that vision out of love - love for Spirit, love for ourselves, and the love of serving others we will always win no matter what. So pursue your passion and rise to the top.

    To your success,

    John Lowery

    Your Calling

Have you discovered your calling? Most are searching for something outside of themselves. Few have truly risen to their full potential in their lifetime. I think the key to leading a prosperous life financially and finding true fulfillment is by finding your calling. The more value you give to society, the more the Universe will pay you in return. You see money, is simply a bi-product or your talents & skills. So it would make sense that the more value you bring to others the more that you will be financially rewarded. Some may say, "I'm too old", or "I'm not pretty enough", or "I don't have the right education". Let me just say, that unless you are aiming for a career in The NBA or The PGA, you can probably acheive most anything you put your mind to. And if you really had a talent for basketball and were a complete stand-out from the crowd, you might even be able to acheive that as well despite great obstacles. There is a great movie called "The Rookie" about a junior high school teacher who never achieved his dream of playing major league baseball, and at 38 years of age does the impossible and makes it to the majors. You see, your calling doesn't ever have to stop because of age, circumstances, or anything. If you really want something go after it.

    Debt???

Is debt bad? Depends on how you look at it. Most people have to take out a loan to go to school, buy a home, purchase a car. If we didn't have credit we would all be living in shantytowns - ha ha. But how do you get out of debt on credit cards? We all know that credit cards are bad debt. But how do we pay off that debt. That debt is probably keeping you up at night. Your probably saying to yourself, "my life would be so much easier if I just didn't have all this debt." Are you seeing the picture yet? Attention goes, where energy flows. By constantly focusing on your debt, you are actually attracting more into your life. This is why so many people never truly get out of debt. Their focus is on debt. Therefore that is what they attract more of. Your subconscious doesn't understand get of debt as it cannot process a negative. So what I teach is rather than saying get out of debt is I say forget about it. Whaaaaat? Forget about it. If you ever want to get out of debt you must forget about it. Focus on more value from yourself, and the universe will provide you with the resources you need to pay back the debt and much more. One of my favorite mentor's Randy Gage has a brilliant saying, "Bills are invoices for blessings already received."

Everybody wants success or at least they say they do

If you could take a video of every successful person and watch them pursuing their dreams, you would be stunned at the amount of pain people go through to get the top. It would disqualify a ton of people from ever getting on that train. We all see the glamour of hollywood, professional athletes, olympians, realtors, business owners, motivational speakers, and think WOW! I want that too. But if you saw their beginnings and all the humility and hard work they had to go through to get to the other side, I doubt very much that you would bite at it. I learned recently that one of the top income earners in network marketing who now earns over $100K per month, never earned a dime for his first 5 years in the industry. I know of several movie stars who lived out of their cars, or went hungry trying to make it in Hollywood. Many athletes have to endure grueling training throughout high school and college to get to the pro level. As they say, "No Pain, No Gain". And of course there are those that hit the top and then have to bounce back from the very bottom. Two individuals that come to mind are actor Mickey Rourke and Billionaire Donald Trump. Did you know that Mickey was completely broke and trying to become a boxer before his comeback and academy nomination for the movie, "The Wrestler". Donald Trump was in debt for Billions and never took out personal bankruptcy a decade ago. If you don't believe me on Trump, read his book, "The Art Of The Comeback". Brian Tracy the famed author and motivator, claims most successful people he knows have been bankrupt more than once. So, just ask yourself before you get on the field the next time if you are ready to sacrifice. If not, you might want to just play it safe and stay where you are and follow those that are willing to put their livelihood on the line.

    The Perfect Network Marketing Opportunity

Why can't you never find the perfect network marketing company? If I were to start my own company with a few investors, here is what it would look like: Affordable break-thru product with little competition, Hybrid Binary Pay-out, Pre-Launch that would allow everyone to come in for free for 60 Days (would have 150,000 in multiple countries), then I would compress everyone into the binary tree (immediate income for everyone at Launch date), my only requirement would be that every one personally sponsor at least 2 people. Any investors out there call me. If the product was good enough, I would consider starting my own MLM and guess what - it would be different than all the junk out there where only a small percentage make big money.

    I'm going to Broadway ........

If you were going to put together a performance for a Broadway Show, would you want people on your dance team who are going skip rehearsal, not learn the moves, and continually complain? I know I wouldn't. Why is it in network marketing that we have the mentality of just bringing people in when they have no interest in doing the business? We convince, we manipulate, persuade, and guess what they finally open up their wallet and you wonder why after a few days or weeks they quit. They never wanted to learn the choreography anyhow. So here is great million dollar tip that will save you years of failure and put you in a group with the PROS - Only work with those that want to do the biz. Yep, that's right only work with those that want to do the biz. If someone doesn't want to do the biz, don't sign them up. So what about your fast start. Is your valuable insight really worth a $20 or $80 commission? Me personally, I'm worth a lot more than that and so are you. I'll see you all on Broadway :)

    Are you in a rut?

If you have been in a rut for a long time and don't see anyway out. You just need to shift your focus from yourself to others (no more victim). Secondly, you must get moving (productivity, get busy). Finally, you must destroy your old programming (I guarantee that your belief system is holding you hostage). If anyone in your life is constantly negative, sorry you must get them out of it. I have no problem with destroying toxic relationships, unless its your spouse, but even then you might want to re-consider (talk to your pastor - ha ha..). No one is strong enough mentally to have toxic people in their life. The poison of negativity just wreaks more havoc on your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Here are a few steps to get out of your rut:

    1. Pray daily (Get in contact with GOD, if you don't believe in God find a belief in a higher power)
    2. Meditate (try to spend 20 minutes per day in meditation)
    3. Thoughts (Unless your Warren Buffett you cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought). Every time a negative thought enters your mind smash it with a hammer. The build of thoughts can affect what you attract into your life.
    4. Action (Nothing will happen if you just sitting around waiting for it to happen - get busy)
    5. Feelings (If your thoughts are good, and you take action, you will in fact feel better). We are not designed to sit around and feel sorry for ourselves.

If you do the above for more than a week and still feel the same, then at that point you might want to meet with your Dr. as there are people who have chemical imbalances that should be on medication.

If you are anti-medication and want to feel better go to my website at http://www.johnlowery.biz and I can help get you back on the right track. I will shake you up a bit, but you will get direction, and feel much better.

The Truth about becoming a Pro on The Net

Today, I am just going to point out how to become a pro on the net, because what you see is not always what is going on behind the scenes. If you want to really fire your boss and take the bulls by the horn, create multiple income streams, and make big money. Here is what you need to do: You must have a program that creates immediate cash flow (or a big fat bank account). Unfortunately, network marketing is a slow build and will require many months to build (NO BS here). You should also have an affiliate program that is low cost to help cover the costs of your lead generation. I recommend Mike Dillards Magnetic Sponsoring you can get an preview for free at by visiting my website, I also recommend a marketing system you can sell to other home based business entrepreneurs that will give you all the tools necessary to build your MLM Dream Machine, you can set that up for free at http://www.theultimatesystem.info. So how does this all work? Quite simply you need a program that is non - mlm that will generate you between $100 - $500 per sale or if your like myself, lots and lots of clients to coach and consult with on a regular basis while you are building your real estate. If your not overly confident in your marketing and sales ability, it could be best to just keep your day job and focus on your main MLM. But if you choose to do that you still must have a powerful marketing system to help manage your time. In the meantime if you feel you are ready to play at another level feel free to contact me for coaching and I will help you build your engine that will drive you super fast to whatever destination you choose.

    One Important Thing!

I had a profound thought today as I was thinking about business. Fortunately, I always take Sundays off for rest and reflection.

My profound thought was the following:

If your going to be successful in network marketing, there is one thing you have to do. There is just no way around it no matter what people tell you. You will have to work. If you don't work, guess what - you just won't get very far in MLM. You can do your business part-time or full-time, but not sometimes. Hoping and praying it's going to happen won't make it happen either. You have to actually spend 1 - 3 hours per day on your business (if your part-time) and 30 - 60 hours per week (if your full-time). I have yet to meet anyone who has made any huge income in MLM who worked their business sometimes (at least in the building stage of the first 12 - 24 months).

If you have a full-time job, business, or part-time job you will need to block out 2 to 3 hours per day to be successful building your biz. This is why your time to needs to be top quality time - laser focused. You must go into a zone for 2 hours a day and just contact people or return phone calls. If you are like myself and have mastered some form of attraction marketing - guess what, you still have to contact people. I think I've had 2 people in 3 years join my biz without any human contact (So don't believe everything you read on the net). Once your team grows you can spread your time to 1 hour a day marketing (Facebook, blog, Twitter, pay per click, paid advertising, and spear heading the influential), 1 hour a day to prospecting & follow up, the other hour per day to training your new recruits so you get duplication.

Finally don't listen to all the BS that is on the internet. I've tried multiple programs and they mostly attract lottery minded individuals anyhow. You will never grow a sustainable network marketing business with people that cannot lead or influence others - it's not possible.

to learn how to grow your network marketing or internet biz visit me on the web at http://www.johnlowery.biz

Mary Lou made $24,000 Last Month from Home

Do you get these emails in your inbox? I have to just laugh to myself every time I see them and say, how does this guy expect me to believe this. About 6 months ago I even bought a course for $80 to see if this guy was for real and if he had some great ideas, but when we got into how much he was spending on Pay Per Click it almost didn't pencil out. Yeah, if I spent $20K on Pay per click there is a good chance I might get my money back. But business isn't about how much you make, it's about how much profit you have left over at the end of the month. If your quarterly earnings on Wall Street go down, so does your stock. I guess I learned something from my business degree - ha ha....

This brings me to my next statement, are you making less then what you are spending in your network marketing business? Yes there are start up costs, phone, internet, business cards, product demands, marketing systems. They all add up, and if you want to make it network marketing you have to start looking at this as a business versus a hobby, otherwise 2 years from now you will still be in the same boat. That one shift from hobby to business will put you ahead of 95% of all network marketers and put you in a category that says, "I'm in it to win it."

Shift your thought, actions, beliefs and start living from the outcome and you will start to attract more OF THE RIGHT KINDS OF people to your business. Not lottery minded people who have never built anything in their lives and will leave your group quicker than you sign them up. YOU MUST attract real people who understand that in order to be successful at anything - it takes time, effort, money, and consistent thought patterns of winning. Winners don't quit, and I can promise you, if you don't you can't lose either AS LONG as you make that shift from hobby to business. MLM is not a hobby. I guarantee that Randy Gage, Jim Lutes, or Eric Worre would not be in network marketing if they weren't getting a big fat check from it - or at least thought they would. 99% of all people that enter MLM come on board to make money. So let's start making some $$$$$, so we can all have that lifestyle that MLM can offer.

    Network Marketing via the internet

i've been asked a lot if you can build a network marketing organization via the internet. As many so called MLM Coaches have never recruited a soul into network marketing, I can honestly say I have recruited at least a 100 over the past few years. And yes 90% came from the internet. Before the internet in my 1st network marketing company I was only able to recruit a few family members. Yes your family members if they are open can and will join you if you have any credibility. But back to the topic at hand. How do you use the internet to build an MLM Business. It's pretty simple unless you are selling a $20 or $30 a month program, you will more than likely have to pick up the phone and call everyone of your prospects or at least have some communication via email or instant messenger. Now here comes the next trick that is crucial to keeping your person on your team before losing them to the next email "Wilma made $14,000 in 2 days using my proven system". You have to build a relationship with them. The thing about network marketing that the pros know vs. the amateurs is that this business isn't about just signing people up, its about mentoring and training your people. So your job really begins when you enroll your people. With all that being said, remember we are in the business of people and cultivating leaders. You cannot sign someone up into your MLM Business and just leave them hanging, or you will lose them to the next Big Opportunity. Work with your people and your business will grow.

    Evolv and Network Marketing

Recently I got involved with a start up company out of Dallas, Texas called Evolv. I first approached about the company a little over 6 months ago, but was involved in another venture at the time and couldn't make any more time in my schedule. A few months ago I was approached again and was intrigued by a few things with the company. The first was the owner of the company Trey White was a billionaire. I know from experience that for a new company to stay around and grow quickly it must have capital and in today's economy that is very important. I also like the idea that it was ground floor as in network marketing just like in any other venture, it's usually better in the long run if you can get in early while the company has not yet hit critical mass. My 3rd reasoning was the science behind the product. In Health & Wellness products, science is valuable for your customer base as most people who buy health & wellness products are concerned about their health. The 4th reason is I had an opportunity to work directly with the master distributor Jim Lutes. I have never ever in my life been so close to the top of any company in this business. And the 5th and final reason, is that I simply love network marketing. I feel the same way as Robert Allen feels everyone should have Real Estate, stocks, and network marketing as part of their portfolio. This industry has become so credible nowadays that even Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump are endorsing it. If you would like to learn more about how the network marketing business model works and learn about Evolv (The fastest growing network marketing company in the US) go to http://www.thehomebiz4you.com/evolver

    What's your passion?

Hope you are as excited about the upcoming week as I am. Lots of cool things going on in my world. I wanted to reflect on passion this week, as last night I played my first live music gig in many months. Not only was I playing music, but one of my all time favorite singers was sitting in the audience just a few feet from where I was performing (talk about making my day). I used to play music every chance I could and got very excited to record and collaborate with other musicians in the past. I've had a passion for music now for many many years and just simply enjoy it. It has never been about making money with music (although sometimes I was thankful that I had the ability to pick up some extra bucks when things got tight); but it was mostly about just doing something I truly liked doing. Life is too short not to pursue your passions. My challenge for you this week is to find your true passions and let the world know it. Maybe your passion is to cut hair, or become a great
singer. It doesn't really make a difference, but below I have given a few examples of how you can find your passion and know if what you are doing is in alignment with who you really are.

If your looking for a new career or a new hobby. Here are a few questions to ask yourself to find out if your passionate or not. Would I still be doing what I am doing if I wasn't getting paid? Do I really enjoy this hobby, or am I just doing it to please someone else? Do others regularly compliment me when I am doing this hobby, business, or job? These are just a few examples of how you can do some soul searching on your passions. Your passions may take some skill-set, fine tuning, and direction, but overall if you are really struggling with something and your not getting much positive feedback from others, it could be that you are simply not doing something that comes natural. Yes, you can learn to play piano, or learn to speak a different language. But true passion should always be pretty fun. You should really really enjoy it - if your passionate about something. Besides you will be more fun to be around and will find more success in every area of your life. If you
find an area where you feel stuck, or there is no passion. You have to know that you have the ability to change the direction of your sail, or do something else.

    How to control other people?

I just wanted to let you know that YOU cannot control other people. Or can you? There has been a lot of debate on the subject in the past few years, especially as it pertains to “The Law of Attraction”. Some have wondered if you can use the law of attraction to control others. Here are my thoughts on the subject, as I think it is a very important one, especially as it pertains to other people. First let me say, that I believe in a creator of the universe and I call that creator GOD. Some call him/her Mother Nature, Mother Earth, Jehovah, or Allah. My intention here is not to thump you over the head with religious jargon. My intention is to help you create a breakthrough as to why you may struggle in controlling others.

Let’s first talk other people as it pertains to your thoughts, visions, and goals. Many who have used, “The Law of Attraction”, have made mention that while they continually visualized their intention, people just showed up out of the blue willing to help. Or they visualized this special person showing up and next thing they know they are married to him/her. For example: If I was starting a record label, which I actually did. I first created an intention and knew pretty much exactly what I wanted to accomplish early on. Within a few months an investor showed up with the money, so I could open the record label. That is called creating an intention and it works very well. But this is different than controlling others. This is creating an end result, and the piece of the puzzle comes together, because of your faith in this intention – its very very very powerful. This is very different than control – here is why. Let’s say your spouse has left you for another man/women. You don’t understand why, but it hurts you and you want him/her back. You visualize everyday about this person returning to your arms and you create the intention of this person coming back and guess what? They don’t return. The reason for this is that you have limited control over people, as it pertains to getting people to do or act the way you expect them to. You see, God gave us all a wonderful gift of FREE WILL. This is something that even God lets go of, if he wanted to control us he would have made us all robots. If God cannot control FREE WILL, who am I to think differently. I hope that made sense.

The above also applies to network marketing or business, not just relationships. I have brought in many networkers into my business ventures who I thought were going to do great. I give them all the tools, mentoring, etc. AND GUESS WHAT? They still don’t do anything and quit within a few days or weeks - that is called Free Will. It’s the greatest gift we have all been given – I really believe that. But if you don’t get it, you can become insane – I have. Believe me, in the past I tried to play God on many occasions and came up disappointed in others, which led to my own demise.

Remember if your employees, husband/wife, partner, business partner, network marketing team are not performing to your liking. It could be that their FREE WILL is making them make the choices that you may not agree or like. I challenge you this week to let go of people and turn them over. The best thing you can do when you feel like people aren’t reacting/behaving the way you want them to, is to simply let go and pray for them.

    Are you holding onto something?

It's been said that we can paralyze ourselves and our futures through our resentments. If you find yourself stuck in the middle and not able to move forward, it could quite simply be that you are holding onto something that you really really really need to let go of. I had a resentment that I held onto for over 25 years. This resentment ate me up inside like cancer and I didn't know what to do with it. Quite honestly, I didn't even know how serious it was hindering me until I attended a seminar in 2007. During this 3 day seminar I was able to recognize that this resentment was not only holding me back from a healthy relationship with this person, but it was causing me to fall short in almost every area of my life. I simply had to just let it go and forgive this person. And what a relief it was once I did - AMAZING!

As you go through this new year, I would encourage you to do some self exploring to see if there is any area of your life where you too can let go. I would challenge you to dig deep inside to see if there is anyone or anything that you are hanging onto. You see if someone has caused you great pain or hurt, you don't need to necessarily forget what they have done to you, for some that would be as impossible as walking on water. However, you can take those isolated feelings/memories and turn them over, or LET GO. If you have harmed another person, you can ask that person for forgiveness (but even more importantly forgive yourself). If you feel you can't ask this person for forgiveness in person, write them a letter (you don't even need to share it). Don't always expect others to forgive you, but getting it out there can be a huge release. If nothing less, I can certainly promise you, that if you clean your past and learn to let go and forgive, you will start living a life with way more peace & serenity.

This new life will not only help you achieve more satisfaction in your relationships, but it will also give you so much liberation inside that you will have way more to offer to others. As Ghandi once said, "Become the change you want to see in the world."

let me suggest 4 things you can do immediately to help you achieve Nirvana in your life right now:

    * A willingness to be honest with yourself and others
    * A willingness to forgive and let go
    * A willingness to be kind to yourself and others (Love is an action)
    * A willingness to be grateful everyday no matter what (gratitude is the beginning to prosperity)
